Your Workday, Visualized: An Insight Tool for Healthcare Heroes
Easily transform your daily task logs into clear, interactive charts. Developed as a thesis project, this tool empowers you to understand and analyze your workload like never before.
Visualize My WorkloadDesigned for You, The Healthcare Professional
We understand the daily pressures and the sheer volume of tasks you manage. This tool isn't about adding to your burden; it's about providing clear, personal insights from data you might already track. See your efforts visualized, understand where your valuable time is allocated, and gain a new perspective on your day-to-day workload.
Move beyond just feeling busy to understanding the specifics. This analyzer helps identify patterns and potential areas for optimization, ultimately aiming to support a more balanced and sustainable work environment for you and your colleagues.
Simple Steps to Personal Insight
1. Easy Data Upload
Simply provide your task data in a standard Excel (.xlsx) file. The required format is straightforward – see the example below. No complex software, no steep learning curve.
2. Instant Visualization
The tool immediately processes your data and presents your workload per staff member (VIG'er) as clear, interactive Gantt-like charts, displaying parallel tasks and their categories over time.
3. Empowering Analysis
You are in control! Use the intuitive filter panel to explore. Select or deselect task categories, or even drill down to individual tasks. Understand the specific impact of different activities on your workload at any point in the day. No advanced statistical knowledge needed – the visuals make it clear.
About This Project
This Workload Visualization tool was developed by Floris Blaauw as part of a thesis project. The primary goal is to make workload data more accessible, understandable, and actionable directly for healthcare professionals like you.
We believe that by providing intuitive tools for personal data analysis, healthcare workers can gain valuable insights into their daily routines, identify potential stressors, and contribute to discussions about workload management with concrete, visualized evidence. Your use of this tool can also provide valuable (anonymized, if applicable for research) feedback for improving such support systems in the future.
Required Input Data Format (.xlsx)
To analyze healthcare worker workloads, the application requires an Excel file with the following columns. Ensure your data matches this structure for successful processing:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Resident ID | Unique identifier for each resident. |
| PAT (start time) | Start time of the task in HH:MM:SS format. |
| Taakbeschrijving | Description of the task performed. |
| Verwachte_duur | Expected duration of the task in HH:MM:SS format. |
| Observer | Identifier of the healthcare worker performing the task (numerical integer). |
| Category | Category of the task. |
| QL (qualification level) | Qualification level of the healthcare worker (numerical integer). |
Example Data Structure:
| Resident ID | PAT | Taakbeschrijving | Verwachte_duur | Observer | Category | QL |
